Diversity by Christelle Hug

Christelle Hug, an Artist as well as an Industrial Designer explores the perceptions of her reality through two styles of art-making; detailed graphite drawings and semi-abstract paintings that depict an alternate reality created by thought.

Presenting a body of work that captures the creative essence of Sydney while creating a poetic reconstruction by using a stylisation technique to manipulate and refine specific visual elements such as line, colour and shape creating a semi-abstract expression of the original subject.

Encouraging her audience to experience reality from a new perspective while emphasising the idea that reality is the decoding of information and that our perception is determined by how we decode this information.

Christelle's paintings remind us that perceptions are unique so therefore we must all experiencing a different reality.
