ABOUT Anna
Always pushing boundaries, Anna typically uses broad brushstrokes, bold colours and has an unapologetic application of paint that is usually very thick. She sees herself as a modern-day expressionist who mostly chooses to reduce her subjects to their simplest form. Whether landscapes, still life or portraits, Anna’s work tends to be more abstract than expected by more traditional expressionists. She is a two time finalist in the International Women’s Day Art Award, will participate in the Walker Street Art Gallery 9 by 5 exhibition, and Brunswick Street Gallery’s Fifty Squared Exhibition and is a finalist for New York’s Hopper Prize, 2019.
