Art the photography
Whilst on safari in the Okavango Delta, Botswana, we sat peacefully observing this beautiful Cheetah and his brother, shading themselves behind the termite mound as the sun began to set on the Savuti Marsh.
Cheetah’s are listed as vulnerable, losing habitat across their regions and in competition with all other apex predators (Lions, Hyena, Wild Dog and Leopard).
After an hour of observation, our patience was rewarded as he decided to rise. With a stretch of the legs and an arch of the back, he clawed his way up and took that majestic pose on top of the termite mound, as he made his observations across the Savuti Marsh.
What a wonderful experience in awesome light, a real privilege.
