Description
This artwork is the artist’s interpretation of the natural phenomenon dubbed” where the two oceans meet”. It occurs when heavy waters filled with sediment from glacial rivers and valleys meet offshore waters of the Gulf of Alaska. The difference in water density, temperature and salinity of the glacial waters, make it difficult to mix with offshore waters from the Gulf of Alaska.
