About the artwork:
"Aila" explores the strength, pride and joy that can come from vulnerability. By allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, to let our walls fall down and show who we really are on the inside allows for empathy, courage and strength to shine through. It may be scary in the moment to open up, to say those words such as "I love you" to a partner, "I'm struggling" to someone you're close to or to even come out to the world. Saying these things can leave you feeling on edge due to the uncertainty of how they will react, however these moments are incredibly powerful and so important. By being vulnerable, going out of our comfort zones - it's allowing us to grow significantly and to become who we really are.
