Block painting is a form of abstract art. The artist is layering block of bold, saturated colours often in a square, rectangular shape but can also be a triangle, round and sometimes more organic.
The use of geometric shapes pushes the sense of not conforming to realism, a familiar method of art which any viewer can relate to.
