#CarryOn artwork on paper
The series Isolation 1-4 are ink on rice A4 paper
During this unusual time of social distancing and isolation I kept thinking of those I know who are isolated, not just because of the Virus but for other reasons. I do not usually draw figures preferring landscapes, trees and snow. Somehow the fetal position seemed to me to represent the turning away from the world, the back being such a strong point of the body. The egg shape, returning to the womb.
Isolation is a series of charcoal drawings and ink on paper where the fetal position of the body seems for me to express the containment of social distancing and isolation.
