#CarryOn artwork on paper
The series Isolation 1-4 are ink on rice A4 paper
Isolation is a series of charcoal drawings and ink on paper where the fetal position of the body seems for me to express the containment of social distancing and isolation.
During this unusual time of social distancing and isolation, I kept thinking of those I know who are isolated, not just because of the Virus but for other reasons. I do not usually draw figures preferring landscapes, trees and snow. Somehow the fetal position seemed to me to represent the turning away from the world, the back being such a strong point of the body. The egg shape, returning to the womb.
