About the artwork:
“Manyana” depicts a hot summer’s day. We were bushwalking with our young son, who decided to go for an impromptu swim in the creek in his underwear.
About the artist:
I completed a degree at The National Art School majoring in photography and painting, and work primarily in landscape and figurative painting, playing with form, colour and abstraction. I live in Sydney with my husband and young son, and draw inspiration from the everyday small moments in life. Running a home, schooling, nature, studio work, community are some of the motifs that inform my work. I have been selected for major art prizes including the Mosman art prize, Willoughby art prize amongst others, and have exhibited in group and solo shows throughout Australia.
