'Pink River Inlet' was inspired by the calm and slow-moving waters of Victoria's Barwon River. Intuitively driven, this painting maps an intimate conversation between colour, organic shapes and floating compositions.
About the artist:
Stephanie Davey-Smith is an Australian artist living and working in Melbourne. Primarily working with acrylics, her work reflects playful abstract fields that often touch on botanical forms and dynamic patterns. Her varied and constantly evolving process is always finding new inspiration within the legacy of Abstract Expressionism, pop culture, fashion, botanicals and the beauty within natural landscapes. Stephanie grew up in Brisbane and moved to Melbourne after graduating from the Queensland University of Technology where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) degree.
