1) Who are you?
My name is Martin Sullivan but I’ve always been called Sully. I am originally from Coatbridge, a small town just outside Glasgow, Scotland. I’ve been living in Sydney for 7 years.
2) Which 5 words best describe you?
Optimistic
Caring
Ambitious
Creative
Empathetic
3) When did you discover your creativity?
When I was a toddler. I’ve always been able to Draw and was copying the front covers of old VHS Disney films from a very young age.
4) What’s the best lesson you’ve learnt along the way?
Create what you love, not what you think people want to see
5) What’s your proudest moment?
When my website went live. It was an amazing feeling!
6) What’s been your best decision?
My best decision was coming to Australia. The country has given me so much. It’s also where I met my sweetheart, Charlie. If I didn’t come here, she and I would never have met.
7) Who inspires you?
My younger brother Stephen. He is blind but he doesn’t let that stand in his way. He came to Sydney last June and we climbed the harbour bridge together. I was so proud of him. If a blind man can climb the harbour bridge then I can do anything.
8) What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about making sure the people I love know how much I love them and making sure that they live the best life possible.
9) Which person, living or dead, would you most like to meet?
I would love to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger. He’s always been a hero of mine as I grew up through the 80s and 90s. He broke down so many barriers and never let anyone tell him he couldn’t do something. His life story is so inspiring.
10) What dream do you still want to fulfil?
I want to become an artist full time and build my own house for my family
11) What are you currently reading?
I’ll be honest, I don’t read much. I find it very hard to sit still as my mind goes at a million miles an hour. I’m always thinking of new ideas for painting and advertising so I find it hard to relax with a book.
