Description
This series is inspired by geological features such as Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. The heavy monsoonal rains from The Northern Territory and as far away as South East Queensland, give life to the cracked salted crust which was previously left behind. Algae blooms and vegetation return, then huge flocks of birds arrive, creating vibrant patterns, lines, colours and textures.
Through these works, I hope to portray some of the vastness and beauty of that which gives so much life to the otherwise dry Australian outback.
