Description
Terra-17, and similar works were inspired by the view over Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. On an early morning flight to Uluru I was fortunate enough to catch the sun rising and to see the first warm light give the clouds beneath us a golden hue. The colours were amazing, and that's where I first got the idea of using gold pigment and gold leaf to create cloud-like patterns in my work.
This series of work was for a show titled Terra Flora.
