Aimee's High/Low collage series explores the peaks and troughs of extreme moments in time. Using mountainous shapes and rhythmic motifs, unknown landscapes are created. The work is created through emotive, spontaneous mark-making on paper which is then ripped up and layered over many days and weeks, forming a multi-faceted piece of art.

About the artist
Aimee Harel is a Melbourne-based artist and art facilitator with a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts. She gains inspiration from making art in communion with others, especially children and people with disabilities. Using mixed media such as acrylic paints, oil pastels and collage, Aimee explores the ephemeral and fragile nature of art and life.
