Basic of drawing

In a fun environment class, discover the joy of drawing your first portrait. You will learn basic techniques in drawing, tips and gain practical experience in creating a successful portrait and bring home your own masterpiece.

Where: THE SPACE gallery, ART gallery at My Place Zetland

When: Saturday & Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm

Teacher: Henrike Fechler

Henrike has drawing for over 8 years and she loves the process of creating realistic portrait and capturing all the details

In this class, you will learn how to:

• Shapes and forms: learn how to draw from different shapes and learn about highlights and shadows.
• The dimensions and proportions of the head and face
• How to create a likeness of your subject
• Tips and hints to mastering facial features: eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair and eyebrows.
• Define the structure of the portrait. More about highlights and shadows.

No experience necessary and the class size will hold a maximum of 10 participants which helps to enable more individual one on one time with the teacher.
