A Summer Storm Passes

About the artwork
I have an affinity for storms, finding endless inspiration in moody clouds and loud thunder. My favourite landscape paintings are usually of passing storms, around dusk. As the clouds continue to threaten rain, small windows in the sky open up and the setting sun peeks through for an instant. This is what I was hoping to capture in this piece. My goal was to show the juxtaposition of a finally calming sea against the brooding clouds.
