#CarryOn artwork on paper
Fleur Stevenson is a New Zealand abstract artist, whose work is inspired by the patterns, textures and shapes found amongst the landscape. Working with mixed media (acrylic and spray paint) predominantly on board and paper, Fleur’s paintings explore the negative spaces between (permanent and temporary) objects and invite the viewer to discover and navigate through these seemingly empty spaces.
For this series of three works on paper, I have created paintings from my memories of a recent trip to Sofala in regional NSW. I have used brushstrokes and spray paint to depict the textures and layers found in the landscape.
