Late Afternoon on the Lake

The kayak paddler is often seen in my local landscape; from dawn for a few hours and back again late in the day. They merge with the water, united in blue, finessing their craft, refining their technique. I painted this artwork ‘en plein air’ in the late afternoon, a guest in the moment. 

This paddler gliding along the thin water captivated my attention, gracefully moving through the water, engrossed in their craft.
