Purple Sand Storm

Purple Sand Storm was inspired by a dust storm in Sydney in September 2009.

The outback dust storm has swept across eastern Australia, shrouding Sydney and other cities in a dramatic red-orange glow. The dust quite literally formed a wall that marched over parts of NSW and Queensland, the contrast between the dust and the clouds is mesmerizing.

This artwork can be used as a display standing or placed on a clean surface. The light will shine through the Plexi and the colours will be accentuated. The piece has been UV protected and varnished, nevertheless, please don't place it in contact with direct sunlight as the pigments will fade.
