Artist statement
I have an intense love of the unique and stunning landscapes of Australia. I explore rhythm, colour and form from a storehouse of memories of my travels, and occasionally paint plein air or use my photos for inspiration. I turn up to my studio every day and I never know what's going to happen. I love to explore different tools and colour palettes to keep my work fresh and immediate.
A series of works begun plein air last year, recently completed in the studio.
Riverbed was inspired by various views from the car window while travelling towards Hillend. Watercolours on 360gsm watercolour paper. A4
