Description
Through my recent abstract works, I have been taking much inspiration from patterns in nature - for example snapshots of aerial terrestrial landscapes marked or shaded by flora, fauna, or even cloud-like formations... footprints made by small mammals or snail trails lit up by the morning sun on a fence.
The combination of oxidation techniques with these lines and textures inspired by nature, allows me to create pictures that have a familiarity to them. Nature provides me with so much inspiration, and through suppression of my conscious mind, I aim to create impressions that are usually only seen in the natural world.
