About the artwork:

“SUNSET THROUGH ACACIA”

Each evening that we camped on our road trip through Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana we were treated to an arresting and glorious sunset that simply begged to be photographed in every instance.

Here the sunlight filters through the branches of an Acacia tree like an African bushfire and as the sun slowly slipped beneath the horizon the noises that would accompany us during the rest of the night began: hippopotamus grunting and snorting, the occasional lion’s roar and the screech of a variety of birds.
