Waiting for tomorrow

This painting symbolises the contradiction of both time passing AND standing still. As the sun sets over the hills it shines its warm yellow light onto the surface of the earth that faces it, casting deep purple shadows that trail off behind the trees. The trees stand still facing and gravitating towards the sun, oblivious of time passing while they absorb as much light and energy as the day permits.
