Description
Enormous black cockatoo
55–65 cm (22–26 in) in length yellow cheek patches and tail panels. Most often observed flying above woodland or feeding in trees. Their call is a loud, distinctive, mournful wailing sound.
"We have these beautiful birds in our area (Abercrombie River National Park) and they are so graceful in flight and gentle in nature, they come and drink from our ponds so we get to see them up close most days." says the artist
